Sunshine Spa & Aesthetics is located at 201 W Liberty Ave, Suite 101, in Covington. The practice describes itself as patient-centered and ethical medical aesthetics and wellness. Tina Mellesmoen, a registered nurse, founded the practice. Noah Ehinger is the medical director, and Katie Hall, a nurse practitioner, focuses on medical wellness. Every service begins with an in-person consultation that includes a review of medical history and an in-person facial assessment. No treatment, product, unit count or price is recommended before that visit, and the consultation is not a commitment to treat. Patients may be told that a treatment is not right for them. A new patient visit is planned for about an hour, and some treatments can be done within that time. The new patient consultation fee is $60: $50 is paid at booking and $10 at the visit, and the full amount is applied to the appointment. Changes need 48 hours' notice; cancelling inside that window or not showing up keeps the $50 booking fee. Guests are welcome at appointments. Before any treatment, patients sign consent forms covering the specific treatment, its risks and aftercare, and receive written aftercare instructions.

For injectables, the clinic carries Botox and Jeuveau, both botulinum toxin type A products. The choice between them is made at consultation, based on the area, how the muscles move, any past response to neurotoxin and medical history. Common treatment areas include forehead lines, frown lines between the brows and crow's feet. Neurotoxin is dosed for movement and built up gradually over time rather than corrected in one visit. Results develop over several days, with full effect usually taking a couple of weeks. The results are long-lasting but not permanent, so maintenance is expected. An established patient's neurotoxin visit usually takes 30 minutes or less, while a first visit runs longer because of the consultation. Full facial balancing starts at $1,995.

The wellness menu includes IV therapy and vitamin injections, which are elective and have not been evaluated by the FDA. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. The IV menu includes four drips, along with Niagen NR and NAD+ options, with drips starting at $100. The Essential is a Myers-style drip with magnesium, calcium and B vitamins, taking 75 to 90 minutes. Just the Basics is a fluids-only drip. Packages of five drips save 10 percent, and packages of ten save 15 percent, for Just the Basics, The Essential, Reset and Immune Shield. Vitamin injections include B12 at $30 each, glutathione at $50 per mL (200 mg), and vitamin and amino blends at $30 to $85 each, offered to suitable candidates.

Medically supervised weight management is available for adults 18 and over, and is not offered to people with certain medical conditions. The GLP-1 program uses semaglutide or tirzepatide, which are compounded and not FDA-approved. An exam and lab work are required before any prescription. The clinic also sells four NutraFi oral supplement sprays at $35 each.

Payment is accepted by cash, debit card and credit card, and a 3 percent surcharge applies to credit card transactions. CareCredit, Cherry, Affirm and Sunbit financing are available, with approval and terms set by the lenders.
