Nina owns and runs Sunset Daze Studio, which she opened in 2022. The studio is in unit 211 of the ActivSpace West Seattle building at 3400 Harbor Ave SW. Visits are by appointment only, and the studio aims to be a comfortable, friendly and fun place to get nails done.
Nail art is the studio's main draw, with designs drawn from Korean and Japanese nail art styles. The work is grouped into three levels: simple designs such as minimal line work, small hand-painted shapes, chrome powder and classic French tips; medium designs such as stacking, animal prints, swirls, gems and accent 3D gel; and complex custom, character or anime designs, or heavy use of charms, crystals or 3D art. Any 3D art starts at the medium level. For complex art, clients are asked to send ideas or reference photos before the appointment.
Services include gel manicures, Gel-X and hard gel extensions, extension backfills, and removal. Clients arriving within 15 minutes of their start time are not charged a late fee; after 15 minutes the original service may not be guaranteed, may be downgraded, or may be cancelled, and a $15 late fee applies. Cancellations need at least 48 hours' notice to avoid a 50% fee. Guests, including children, are not permitted. Payment is by contactless credit card only. The studio does not offer or remove acrylic or dip, so those need to be removed at another salon before booking. Street parking in front of the building is free, and building access instructions are emailed three days before the appointment.
