Sunflower & Sage

Sunflower & Sage is a hair salon on North Main Street in Glassboro, New Jersey. The salon describes itself as a safe space for all.

Visits start with an online booking request. The salon reviews each request and contacts the guest by email before the appointment. Day-to-day contact is by email or text only.

Consultations are a large part of how the salon works. A text consultation is a separate 30-minute service done by text for $20. New clients pay a $15 deposit, which goes toward a booked service or a product purchase. A text consultation request is accepted only after the client form is complete. For new clients and for existing clients seeking a color change, a text consultation is recommended before booking, and the stylist may ask for an in-person consultation instead or as well.

A free 10-minute consultation can be added to a service and is meant for new clients or people planning a major change. A separate gender-affirming haircut consult is offered at no charge with a 30-minute minimum.

Buy Now, Pay Later is available for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment. The salon also sells gift cards and runs a shop. Listed hours are Tuesday 10:00am to 7:00pm, Wednesday 9:00am to 8:00pm, Thursday 10:00am to 9:00pm, Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm.

The salon describes itself as a safe space for all clients, and it uses consultations before booking to plan larger changes.
