Classes are kept small so each student gets personal attention. Teaching leans on interactive materials and real-world case studies, which suits students who learn best by seeing things done. Business and career skills are taught alongside the technical and creative work, and the Summit Salon Business Center Training is built into the curriculum.

Programs cover cosmetology, barbering, esthetics, nail technology and a beauty culture instructor course for licensed professionals who want to teach. The cosmetology course includes styling, cutting, chemical treatments, advanced color, manicures and makeup. Barbering covers precision cutting, styling, shaving, straight razor work and beard grooming. Esthetics covers facials, skin anatomy, masking, physiology, makeup, hair removal, microdermabrasion and body treatments. Nail technology covers manicures, pedicures, acrylic and gel work, equipment and anatomy.

The salon is open to guests Monday to Thursday 9am to 9pm, Friday 9am to 4pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm. Guest services are overseen by certified and licensed educators, according to the school.

The school says its graduates earn $10,000 per year more than graduates of other programs. Tuition is listed per program and is subject to change. Financial aid and scholarships are available, and a net price calculator is offered for prospective students. Admissions tours can be booked online with the admissions director.
