Every client starts with a free first-visit consultation. The studio reviews goals and medical history, assesses skin and hair, explains what to expect and builds a treatment plan that sets the expected number of sessions and the cost. Settings are chosen for each client's skin tone, hair colour and hair thickness, and a patch test is done at this first visit before any treatment begins. If the studio does not think someone is a good candidate, it says so.

Treatment is a series of short sessions spaced several weeks apart to follow hair growth cycles. The studio uses a Lumenis Splendor X 2.0 laser that combines Alexandrite and Nd:YAG wavelengths, with cooling built into each session. Most clients report a mild warm snap, and any redness usually settles within a day. Laser tends to work best on hair with some pigment, so very fine, light or grey hair responds less. Before treatment, clients shave the area the day before and avoid waxing or plucking for a few weeks. Aftercare covers keeping the area out of the sun, skipping hot showers and heavy workouts for a day or two, and wearing sunscreen between sessions.

Each session is priced by the area treated, with the smallest areas starting at $25. To get a price, visitors pick the areas they want and leave their contact details, and the studio phones back with a quote. Treatments that qualify and are booked through Vagaro can be split into instalments via Affirm. The Smooth Club rewards loyalty with points for signing up, for every treatment visit, and when a referred friend signs up; members can exchange points for money off sessions. The studio is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm, and Saturday, 10am to 4pm, and is closed on Sundays. It is a member of the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce. Parking on the street is metered along Old Woodward and nearby, and public parking decks are a short walk away.

Each client's settings are tailored to their skin tone, hair colour and hair thickness, with a patch test at the first visit before treatment starts.
