Ayla founded the studio with the aim of a clean, calm and welcoming space. The studio lists consistency, a touch of fun, simple and intentional work, and giving back to the community among its values. The team is made up of licensed sugarists.

The paste is made from sugar, lemon and water, with no resins or chemicals, and the studio describes its sugaring as 100% natural. Sugaring is often less painful than waxing but still involves some sting. The studio says hair grows back sparser and thinner after a first sugaring, that results can last 3 to 5 weeks depending on hair type and growth cycle, and that sugaring leads to fewer ingrowns. It says the method suits sensitive skin and black skin. Before a visit, hair should be at least 1/4 inch long, lotions, oils and deodorant should be skipped on the area, exfoliating should stop 24 hours ahead, and loose clothing is recommended. Afterward, hot baths, workouts and sun are best avoided for 24 hours, and exfoliation waits 48 hours.

Brow visits open with a conversation and brow mapping to talk through goals and settle on a shape. Brow lamination is priced at $98, and the studio says its results typically last 4 to 8 weeks. Brow Stain uses Brow Code Hybrid Stain, which the studio says lasts up to 10 days on skin and up to 6 weeks on brow hairs. Before a brow appointment, brows should grow out at least 2 weeks, and retinols or harsh skincare should be paused for 3 to 5 days.

A cancellation made with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged the full service fee, and a missed appointment is billed the same way. Clients must be 16 or older, and intimate services also require guardian consent. Regular maintenance discounts and a refer-a-friend reward are available, and staff can explain how to qualify. The studio runs a two-day sugaring certification taught with Sugar of the Nile products. It is open to licensed estheticians and cosmetologists, as well as people currently enrolled in a licensing program. Classes are kept small and include live model practice, followed by post-training mentorship. The studio also offers private training and team education for spas and salons. Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion from Sugar of the Nile. According to the studio, it has more than 100 five-star reviews and a 4.8 rating.
