Sugarland Aesthetics Studio was founded by Savannah Sester, who is also its only operator. Her work spans facial skin care, acne treatment, lashes, brows, and full body sugaring. The business says it uses professional-grade skin care and high-quality products.
New skin clients usually start with a consultation. The First Time Client Consultation + Treatment includes a skin analysis, a home care plan, and a customized facial. The In Studio Consultation offers a deeper skin analysis and a home care routine without a facial. The Acne Bootcamp opens with a longer consultation that reviews diet, lifestyle, skin history, current routine, medications, supplements, and birth control. Clients must stop prescription acne medications, topical or oral, before the first session, and must be off Accutane or an equivalent for at least six months before booking. The program pairs products suited to acne type and severity with treatments every two weeks. The business states a 90% success rate in clearing skin within three to four months, and says significant improvement typically appears within six to ten weeks depending on acne type.
Sugaring covers the face, underarms, arms, back, chest, abdomen, legs, and bikini areas, with options from small areas like the upper lip and chin to full body packages. Brazilian sugaring is available to new clients or to those past six weeks since their last visit, and shorter Brazilian maintenance visits are offered within four to six weeks of the previous one. The studio also teaches a Sugaring Certification course through Tamara's Sugar, held at the studio for a course price of $450, with the kit sold separately. Applicants must be licensed aestheticians or cosmetologists, or students who have finished hair removal theory and show a student ID. Applicants book a call with Savannah before registering and pay a 50% deposit that is refundable up to two weeks before class. The class runs from 9am to 6pm with a lunch break and two 15-minute breaks, and includes all product used in class. Graduates, called Certified Sugaristas, receive a professional account with Tamara's Sugar and a one-year mentorship with the studio.
Treatments are customized to each client's skin or hair, with home care plans and a holistic acne method drawn from Savannah's training.
