Hair removal is done with a sugar paste made from lemon juice, water and sugar, sourced from Tamara's Organic Sugar Paste, which is certified organic and fair trade. Before a first sugaring visit, clients are asked to let hair grow to about a quarter inch, usually 12 to 14 days or 7 to 10 days for underarms, and to avoid heavy sweating for 48 hours afterward. Anyone under 18 needs a signed waiver from a legal guardian.
Spray tans are applied by hand by a trained, licensed artist and are customized to each client's skin tone, undertone and desired depth of color. A disposable garment is provided, and clients can wear their own swimsuit or go nude. Scent and finishing shimmer each add $3, with both costing $2 more on the Bronzed Maintenance Package, and enhancements are complimentary when a client rebooks before leaving the appointment.
Standard appointments can be rescheduled on the same day at no added charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment are charged 50% of the booked service total. Groupon offers are for new clients only, one purchase per person, and Brazilian package sessions must be used consecutively, each booked within four to six weeks of the previous one.
Sugaring is offered as a gentler option than waxing, and spray tans are matched to each client's skin tone, undertone and desired depth of color.
