The sugaring paste is made from sugar, lemon juice and water only. The studio states that the paste is applied and pulled in the direction hair grows, which it says causes less breakage and fewer ingrown hairs than waxing, and that it is less painful than wax. It also says the paste sticks only to hair and dead skin, and that the method suits very sensitive skin. Body sugaring works on any area with hair, and the studio notes that results tend to improve over a few cycles, especially on legs and underarms.

Facials start with a quick skin analysis and include product recommendations. Options range from a 30-minute facial with a customized mask and extractions, to 40- and 50-minute treatments aimed at teenage skin, the back, and a fuller deep cleanse with two masks and a neck, shoulder, scalp and arm massage. Clients can add an LED light therapy session (Celluma) or an extra mask or peel layer to any treatment.

Booking runs by appointment only. Texting (760) 840-0623 is the quickest way to reach the studio, and the studio usually answers within an hour during business hours. The studio is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 to 5:30, Saturday from 10:00 to 4:00, and is closed Thursday and Sunday. Clients are asked to give 24 hours' notice for any change. Same-day or late cancellations are charged 50% of the service, and missed appointments are charged in full. New clients are asked to arrive ten minutes early, and returning clients five minutes early.

Sugar Studio's sugaring uses a paste of sugar, lemon juice and water only, and facials are tailored after a skin analysis.
