Suedehead Studio

Suedehead Studio Inc. operates from Suite 114 at 315 Route 35 in Eatontown, inside Haven Salon Suites, and serves clients across Monmouth County. Owner Stephen Lane runs the studio himself. It grew out of his earlier work: he opened a hair salon in Manhattan's East Village in 1999, then closed it to open this private studio in Monmouth County.

Visits are private, with each client served one-on-one and no one else in the room. Hair systems are custom ordered to each client's specifications and are made of human hair, with some gray additions that may be synthetic or yaki. An all-gray option is made from 100% European human hair sourced from one supplier. Lace and thin-skin systems last an estimated 8-10 weeks, while more durable systems with a slightly more visible hairline last an estimated 3-4 months.

Maintenance is recommended every 2-3 weeks, depending on lifestyle and body chemistry. Clients are taught how to care for their system at home starting at the first maintenance visit, including washing with a sulfate-free shampoo about once a week and using water-soluble styling products. Hair is sold through the studio at cost with no mark-up. Because systems are custom made, they cannot be returned, so there are no refunds or exchanges once purchased. Clients can exercise 24 hours after installation and should avoid heavy sweating during that first day.
