Subtle Solutions

Subtle Solutions is an aesthetics business at 3815 E Bell Road in Phoenix. It offers scalp micropigmentation (SMP), paramedical tattoo and other aesthetics services. Von Hessler founded the studio after years of work at a large SMP clinic, with the aim of offering a more natural and realistic approach. The business describes its own SMP results as the most refined and natural-looking available.

Every visit starts with a free phone or remote consultation of about 30 minutes, which can also be held in person. The conversation covers the client's goals and questions and ends with a treatment quote for their specific hair loss. The upfront price covers all the sessions needed to reach that goal. A typical SMP course is three to four sessions, spaced about 10 to 14 days apart, each lasting roughly 3 to 5 hours depending on the size of the area. Thinning work usually takes longer.

Pigments are mixed in-house, with a blend that includes warming tones. The studio focuses on precise pigment placement and on keeping pigment consistency and thickness balanced. For scarring and corrective work, a thick skin-tone complexion correction pigment is used, and it can be mixed with red or green tones for a particular application.

Clients are covered for one year after treatment at no additional cost. Follow-up work after that period is charged at a fraction of the original price. Financing is available through Cherry at 0% APR for up to 12 months. Booking is handled through a Square appointments page, and the studio is active on Instagram.
