Clients can choose a hair color with each service and may request a different shade when booking, and the salon can take special color requests if clients contact it before booking.

Appointments need planning. Clients should set aside at least 5 to 6 hours for loc or braiding work and make arrangements with the salon before booking. Hair should be washed and blow dried beforehand, free of heavy oils or products, and must be at least 3 inches long all around. Clients should tell the salon about any breakage or bald spots, and must bring any add-ons they need. Children and extra guests are not permitted at appointments.

Booking requires a non-refundable deposit of $50 that is applied to the remaining balance. Appointments booked within 24 hours carry a $60 deposit, and a $65 fee applies to bookings made less than 24 hours ahead or after 5 p.m. Deposits are sent through Cash App or Zelle with the client's name, style and appointment time, and a screenshot goes to the salon's phone number. The balance is paid in cash, by Zelle or by Apple Pay. Appointments not confirmed with a deposit within 15 minutes of booking are released.

Clients can reschedule until 24 to 48 hours before their appointment, and one reschedule to a date within 30 days is allowed before a new deposit is required. Clients who do not call within a 15-minute grace period after a missed appointment are treated as no-call no-shows, which cancels the appointment, forfeits the deposit and bars future booking. Pictures may be taken during and after appointments, and questions can be sent by text or direct message once an appointment is set.

For loc styles, the salon notes that they typically last about 8 to 12 weeks depending on maintenance, and recommends a touch-up every 4 to 6 weeks. Clients are advised to wrap their edges in a silk scarf at night and cover their hair with a bonnet to help maintain locs. The salon welcomes clients of all ages.
