A first full-head extension service typically starts around $900, with averages between $1,100 and $1,500.

Extension methods include invisible bead, handtied and sew-in installations, which use silicone-lined beads and nylon thread and need maintenance every six to eight weeks. Keratin bond extensions are heat-fused with a low-temperature tool and last three to five months without maintenance, though that hair cannot be reused.
