Appointments are required, since walk-ins are not accepted. The studio is open Tuesday and Friday from 9 AM to 8 PM, Wednesday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and Thursday and Saturday from 10:30 AM to 8 PM, and it is closed on Sundays and Mondays. If a client cannot keep a time, they are asked to reschedule before canceling. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start time carry a 25% fee, and a no-show on the day is charged 50%. If a card on file is declined, the client is contacted, and refusing to pay the fee can lead to being turned away as a client.
House calls are available, and the travel fee depends on distance: free under 5 miles, rising in steps to $60 at 71 to 80 miles, with no service beyond 80 miles. Travel after 6 PM adds $10, and trips over 30 miles are not offered after 6 PM. For house calls, the stylist will not stay if the home has strong cigarette or marijuana smoke or is dirty, and the deposit is not refunded in that case.
Hair for braids, twists and faux locs comes in colors 1b, 2, 4, 27 and 30, and boho hair is offered in natural black, natural brown, 27 and 30. A specific color can be ordered for the client for an extra $15 on regular hair or $60 on boho hair, with at least three days' notice. Many services are priced by starting point, and the final price depends on the style and hair length.
Focused on comfortable, gentle styling and on the health of Black hair, with the aim of avoiding the discomfort clients may have had at other salons.
