Studio Okto is a small, private hair studio in Edmonds, operated from the owner's home. The name is the Greek word for the number eight. Stasia, who owns and runs the studio, moved to this private setting after years of running a larger salon in Fremont.

The studio aims for a balance between what a client hopes for and what can realistically be achieved with their hair. Stasia works with a wide range of clients, each wanting different looks, from subtle natural-looking color to bold transformations and precision cuts.

A visit is intimate and quiet. Clients park in the free spot directly in front of the house, text here to the studio's number, and are collected from their car once the stylist is ready. Water, hot tea, sparkling water and pour-over coffee are offered during services, a bathroom is available, and clients may bring their own drink. Clients can work, relax or talk as they prefer.

The studio describes its goal as helping clients leave feeling a little lighter. Payment is by card through Square or cash at departure. Online booking opens up to twelve months ahead, and bridal trials must take place within three weeks of the wedding. Extra time, thicker or longer hair, materials and certain add-on techniques may increase the price.
