Studio Nova has offered lash extensions since 2015. The business was first called The Lash Room and was later rebranded as Studio Nova. The salon says it uses only the highest quality products for its lash extensions.
Lash appointments take place in a private room. Application usually runs about 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on the service. Clients lie on a massage table with their eyes closed while the lower lashes are covered and extensions are placed one at a time on the upper lashes only. Most clients return for fill-ins every 2 to 3 weeks.
Image is the only facial product line the studio uses. The salon describes Image as using food grade preservatives, no synthetic dyes, and cold-pressed essential oils for fragrance. A deep cleansing is part of every facial, and clients may wear makeup to their appointment. Waxing can be added to a facial for an extra charge.
Studio Nova is located in a building also home to Upstate Massage and Wellness, Heartsong Massage and Bodywork, and BALANCE Therapeutic Bodywork. Children are not welcome at the studio. Clients should avoid arriving more than five minutes before their appointment. Those who need to work an appointment around child care can ask for a special appointment time.
The artist talks through the desired style with each client and what suits their natural lashes, with looks ranging from very natural to high volume.
Lash services take place in a private room, where clients can listen to a podcast or peaceful meditation music.
