Studio K is run by a single stylist, owner Krista Lopez, who works solo from one chair at 932 S State St, Suite C, inside the Americutz salon in Lockport. New clients can book a first-visit special for $45 that covers a consultation, shampoo, a customized haircut and a blow-dry. Free consultations are offered to talk through hair goals and suggest a service. Studio K welcomes women, men, kids, brides and prom clients.

Color is a large part of the menu, including root touch-ups, gloss refreshers, lighten and tone, and single color with partial or full highlights. Full highlights cover the entire head and include toner and a blow-dry; the appointment runs about 2.5 hours. Keratin smoothing reduces frizz and drying time and smooths hair without permanently straightening it. Results typically last 3 to 5 months depending on hair type and home care. The appointment takes about 3.5 hours and includes a consultation, the treatment, a flat-iron seal and an aftercare walkthrough. Clients are advised to avoid washing or pulling their hair back for the first 72 hours afterward.
