Studio J is set inside Sola Salons in Rockville and covers hair cutting, color, highlights, balayage, perms, blow-dry styling and waxing. Haircuts are offered for men, women and children, with children's cuts for guests 10 and under.

About

Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM, Tuesday from 10 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM. The studio is closed on Thursdays and Sundays. Bookings can be made by phone at 202-701-8851.

New clients interested in highlights or balayage are recommended to book a free 15-minute consultation first. Full balayage and full highlights are longer appointments, so the consultation helps plan timing and pricing. Prices are listed as starting amounts, and longer or curly hair carries an additional charge that varies.

A 50% cancellation fee applies to no-shows and to cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100 and $200 amounts or a custom amount, and gift card sales are final.

Studio J pairs each service with a stated starting price and a recommended consultation before larger color work.
