Studio Aura has two Franklin locations: 330 Mayfield Dr., Suite 103, and 102 Lumber Dr., Suite 116. Alongside its hair services, the salon stocks and sells Davines hair care and its own handmade soap. Founder and owner stylist Clara O'Donnell leads the team.

Color and extension clients start with a consultation, which the salon requires before those services. The color consultation is complimentary and takes about 15 to 20 minutes, and it ends with a custom quote for the result the client wants. Extension consultations are also complimentary and are required for new extension clients so pricing can be set. Cut and style clients skip the consultation and book directly. Clients are offered a drink of their choice and a complimentary snack during their visit. Bookings are made through GlossGenius, and financing for any service is available through Cherry Payment Plans.

Listed prices are starting points, since the final cost depends on hair length, density and how much product is used. Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours' notice are charged 50% of the scheduled or quoted services. Adjustments to a cut or color need to be requested within one week of the appointment, and refunds are not offered.

The soap is handmade with the cold-process method in small batches. The current recipe uses goat's milk in place of water and shea butter in place of palm oil; earlier batches used water. Colors and ingredients can shift slightly from batch to batch. Single bars are $8.50 and the Build-a-Bath Combo Pack lets buyers choose five bars for $40. Soap orders ship for a flat $10.65 through USPS Priority Mail and cannot be returned or exchanged; damaged soap or order problems must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Davines shipping is a flat $10 per order, charged separately. Davines was started in Parma, Italy in 1983 by the Bollati family as a research laboratory, and Davines Group describes itself as a B Corp focused on beauty and sustainability.
