Studio Anew, LLC

Studio Anew, LLC opened in December 2022 in Carmel Commons, on Pineville-Matthews Road in Charlotte. Its owner, Kimberly, runs the salon and also works as a stylist there. Clients can book online or by calling the salon, and the salon is open Monday through Saturday with shorter hours on Friday and Saturday and closed on Wednesday and Sunday.

The menu covers men's and women's cuts with blowouts, color and highlights paired with a cut and blowout, and a Japanese head spa service. The salon also offers the Brazilian Blowout treatment and personalized consultations shaped around each client's needs. Gift cards are available.

The Japanese head spa service is the salon's most distinctive offering. It begins with a consultation and scalp analysis, followed by a treatment plan, about 45 minutes of scalp massage with shampoo and detox, and steam, water and light therapy, with a hand, arm or shoulder massage during the hair treatment. The service ends with a second scalp analysis, an at-home care plan and a quick blow-dry, though styling beyond that is not included. The salon says these techniques are a first in the area. Treatments take place in a private room, and the price can vary with hair length and density.

The salon's philosophy centers on confidence and connection, with the aim that every client feels heard, understood and well cared for, not only leaving with a cut or color.

Head spa treatments happen in a private room with low lighting, spa music and aromatherapy.
