The salon opened in 1998 with a staff of six and is co-owned by Jeannie and Debi. It describes itself as a women-owned business and says its legacy spans a quarter century.

The team is grown from within. Stylists complete the salon's apprenticeship program before working on the floor, and an advanced training track for future stylists begins early on. Staff attend monthly workshops and continue their education through Bumble and Bumble, Redken, Carmine & Beth Minardi in New York City, and Goldwell in Baltimore.

Clients can book a scheduled visit or come in as a walk-in. Services cover cuts and styling, color, conditioning, perms, hair extensions and make-up, which is offered only on request. Perm and hair extension pricing is set at consultation, and color services start at listed prices with final pricing discussed in advance.

The salon says its colorists lead the industry in color design and correction, and that its stylists are among the most sought-after hair designers in the area. These are the salon's own claims.
