Structured Hair describes itself as a collective of stylists chosen by hand, with attention to both the technical work and the social experience each guest has in the chair. Its stated aim is to serve the community through its craft.

The salon was planned as a simpler concept after the changes the industry went through during the pandemic period. Its concept is described as minimalistic, sustainable and inspired.

The salon sits inside the Factory, toward Liberty Hall and next to Blockhouse Barbershop. Parking is suggested where the farmer's market meets, off Liberty Pike, followed by a walk down the alley to the right of Franklin Juice Company.

Clients can book online through the home screen or team page, or by calling the salon. A credit card is required to reserve online. The salon asks for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, and later cancellations may be charged the full cost of the reserved services. It also asks to be told at least 48 hours ahead if a booked appointment cannot be kept. A 2% surcharge applies to all digital payments. The salon prefers to communicate by text and email, with reservations, confirmations and special event notices sent that way.
