Strive24

Strive24 was started by Vinny Mifsud after he saw a gap in good fitness facilities in Bandera County. The gym is open 24 hours for members and is equipped with kettlebells and selectorized resistance machines. Members can also use MYZONE, a heart-rate based system with wireless and cloud technology that tracks activity both inside and outside the gym.

Full memberships come with a tailored fitness consultation at sign-up and a MYZONE monitor, listed at a $110 value, given at no charge. Progress is tracked monthly, including body scans. Members on either a Full or a Standard membership can add a 12-month semi-private training plan, with one-hour sessions booked at flexible rates, from one to four sessions a week. Stretch sessions have recently been added.

The hair salon sits inside the gym and is run by Tiffany Mifsud. Salon services are by appointment only, and the front office and salon are open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. Full members receive 10% off salon services. The Wacky Wednesday open house runs every Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. with no reservation needed, offering a gym tour and a look at membership options.

The gym says it aims to provide coaching, equipment and an atmosphere that help members succeed and stay active, and that its trainers are nationally certified.
