New clients booking online start with a consultation, which is required for first-time bookings. Consultation fees are non-refundable but are credited toward the price of the service. A credit card must be kept on file to set appointments, and bookings made without a required first consultation are canceled. Sisterlocks and Strictly Mini Locks consultations measure hair length so the price can be given exactly. Consultations are about an hour, and a general consultation is about half an hour.

Stylists take time with each client, listening and observing to understand their hair needs. The salon aims to educate clients and gives advice on caring for both hair and scalp. Loc wash and retwist visits include a scalp detox, scalp massage, shampoo, conditioning and twisting, with styles and repairs available as add-ons. Loc Detox is a deep-cleansing treatment for product buildup, hard water minerals and excess oils. Decorative beads can be added to locs as loc sprinkles, and loc styling options include rodding, pipe cleaned curls, crimping, updos, men's styles and loc jewelry.
