Stranded sits at 2106 E Union St in Seattle, in a gray building with a blue-trimmed door, next to Meter music school. There is no building signage, only an A-frame sign on the sidewalk. Street parking is free and usually easy to find. Bus route 2 stops directly in front of the salon, bus 48 and bus 8 are a short and a mid-length walk away, and Capitol Hill light rail is about a 30-minute walk.

The salon aims to be a comfortable, home-like space that welcomes people as they are. The owner has said that classism and bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated. The layout is open, so stations do not offer privacy. Educators are welcome to host events, including small gatherings, at the salon.

Ombre powder brows are one of the services offered here. Pricing generally falls between $500 and $800, depending on the artist's expertise and location. Pigments are blended to suit each client's natural hair color, skin undertones and makeup preferences. Healing takes 7 to 10 days, and a touch-up is recommended around 6 to 8 weeks later. Results typically last one to three years, depending on skin type, lifestyle and sun exposure. Powder brows are not recommended for clients who are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking Accutane. Botox should be scheduled well before or well after a brow touch-up, not right before it.

Tooth gems are semi-permanent and typically last from a few months up to a year, depending on oral hygiene and lifestyle. They are made from dental-grade materials, lead-free crystals and 18k gold charms. They cannot be placed on caps, fillings, braces or veneers. Wearers can brush and floss as usual with a soft toothbrush and are advised to see a dentist every six months. Teeth whitening is also offered.
