Bare Radiance Studio was founded by Heather Thomas after she saw how permanent hair removal can affect a person's confidence. The studio describes itself as private, welcoming and free of judgment, and it welcomes women, men, transgender clients and others looking for permanent hair removal. The studio calls itself St. Louis's premier permanent hair removal studio, a claim it makes about itself.

A first visit begins with a complimentary consultation, where the team talks through goals and plans a custom treatment for areas beyond the standard options. Sessions run from 15 to 60 minutes depending on the area and goals, priced at $45 for 15 minutes, $65 for 30, $80 for 45 and $100 for 60. Clients are asked to arrive with clean skin free of lotion, makeup or sunscreen, to let hair grow three to five days before a session, and to stay hydrated and skip caffeine on treatment day. Heather works at each client's pace during sessions.

The studio uses electrolysis and says it works across all hair colors and skin tones, in contrast to laser. It describes most clients' sensation as a brief, mild pinch or warmth. It also notes that most clients need a series of sessions over several months. Alongside treatment, the studio runs an Education Center with articles on comfort, treatment planning, conditions and comparisons, written by Heather Thomas. Sessions are paced to each client, and technical skill is combined with care for the individual throughout.
