Dr. Rottman is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He began with general surgery training at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he took part in developing Single Port Access surgery. His plastic surgery residency followed at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson, covering trauma to the face and lower limbs, reconstruction after cancer, burns, hand procedures and pediatric craniofacial work. Next he trained as a fellow in breast and cosmetic plastic surgery at Georgetown University Hospital (Washington, D.C.), gaining experience in augmentation, breast reconstruction, revision procedures and cosmetic contouring of the face and body. He later became an Assistant Professor of Clinical Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Georgetown, where he teaches residents and medical students.
