Around two years after launch, manufacturing relocated from the basement to a compact building also located in Lakewood.

Everything is made by hand in small batches at the Lakewood building. The soaps contain glycerin, a natural by-product of soap making, and no lye. Bars cure for at least four weeks before they are sold. Products are scented with essential oils and built around skin-friendly ingredients. The business describes its products as plant-based, skin-loving, cruelty-free and eco-conscious.

The Lakewood shop is at 12405 Madison Ave, phone 216-505-5531. The Cleveland Heights shop is at 2265 Lee Rd, phone 216-417-0005. Both are open Sunday 11 to 5, closed Monday, open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10 to 6, and open Thursday 10 to 8. Orders over $50 ship free. Body butters are not shipped from May 15 to September 15 because of their low melting point, but they can be picked up curbside at either shop or bought in store during that stretch.

The Soap Making Class is held at the Lakewood Screw Factory at 13000 Athens Ave in Lakewood and is for guests 18 and older. It costs $80 per person, and the listed price rises by group size from $80 to $640 for one to eight people. Each participant makes 10 bars with a personalized label, and blends an essential oil scent. The session covers the history of soap, the chemistry of soap making, and how different oils affect lather, cleansing and moisturizing. Light beverages and snacks are included. The site says the class suits first-time soap makers, girls' nights, date nights, bridal parties and team building.

The business states that it makes over 100,000 bars of soap a year at the Lakewood Screw Factory. It also offers wholesale purchasing.
