Men's visits include a haircut with a hot towel wrap and a scalp massage using essential oils. Stylists dress clients in a T-shirt for the cut instead of a gown, and men get a complimentary neck trim between appointments. The team has trained with Aveda experts in men's styling and cutting. Steele Barber shares the Roosevelt Way NE address with the Aveda retail store.

Color is offered in four sessions. A customized demi-permanent color adds shine, tone or depth and softens grey. A single-process all-over color covers grey or shifts shade subtly and includes retouching and a conditioning gloss on mid-lengths. Balayage, color melting and classic highlighting are used for partial or full dimension color, and each dimension session includes a Botanical Repair Professional Color Treatment. The salon describes its Aveda hair color as 97% natural.

Children aged 8 to 18 are welcome with an adult present at all times; young children and infants are not admitted, and animals are not allowed except trained service animals. Changes need 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations or reschedules forfeit vouchers and gift cards and carry a fee of half the service price, and no-shows are charged the full service total. A credit or debit card secures every appointment, though cash is accepted for payment. Gift cards do not expire but are non-transferable and non-refundable.

The salon builds its services around Aveda plant-based products and treatments customized to each client's hair.
