Stacy Easton & Associates is an electrology office in the Parklawn Business Park in Rockville, Maryland. The office focuses on permanent hair removal through electrolysis, which it describes as the only method the FDA recognizes as permanent. Clients come from Montgomery, Prince George's, Howard and Frederick counties, Washington DC and Northern Virginia, and the office is near Silver Spring, Wheaton, Olney, Aspen Hill, Potomac and Bethesda.
Electrolysis is used on the hairline, underarms, bikini line, legs, chest, back, eyebrows, upper lip and feet and toes. The office says it can treat hair of any texture and color. Permanent removal of an area usually takes several months to a year of regular sessions, so clients should expect a series of visits. Before a first treatment, hair should be at least 1/8 inch long, and letting it grow for 24 to 48 hours beforehand is recommended. Clients need to stop using temporary removal methods once electrolysis begins.
Each treatment uses pre-sterilized, disposable probes, and the office follows American Electrology Association and CDC infection control standards. Redness usually fades within an hour or two after a session, and small crusts may form, especially on the body. Sessions are 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes at $58, $75, $85 and $95. The minimum treatment is 15 minutes. Payment by cash, check or Zelle is due when the appointment ends, and cancellations should be made 24 hours ahead to avoid a fee. Clients are asked to arrive on time so sessions can be complete. Gift certificates are available, and a free consultation can be requested by contacting the office. Hours run Monday through Saturday, with extended hours available on request.
The office presents electrolysis as a safe, permanent and effective way to remove hair, and it works with disposable sterile probes under American Electrology Association and CDC infection control guidelines.
