Spring Factor Studio

Spring Factor Studio was established in 2015 and is built around curly and wavy hair alone. Joie built the studio, which operates from a private suite with one chair, so each appointment is one client at a time. The suite has deep green walls, brass fixtures and real plants. It sits minutes from GA-400, Avalon and downtown Alpharetta, and about ten minutes from Crabapple and downtown Milton. The studio serves clients from Alpharetta, Milton, Roswell, Johns Creek and Cumming, including neighborhoods such as Windward, Halcyon, Historic Roswell, Martin's Landing, Birmingham Crossroads, Deerfield and Cogburn.

A visit starts with a consultation for every service. The stylist identifies the client's dominant curl pattern and any secondary patterns, and talks through their goals and how their hair behaves day to day. Every cut is done dry, curl by curl. Services that include a wash finish with a deep cleanse or hydrating conditioning and a hand-styled finish. Clients receive a walk-through of how to recreate the style at home, with products chosen for their hair. New clients are asked to book the Deva Cut and Style for a first visit. Bookings are made online through Schedulista. Cancellations or reschedules need at least 24 hours notice, and late cancellations may incur a fee.

The studio does not offer color services, but it can recommend curl-friendly colorists in the area. Hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm, with Sunday and Monday closed. Prices vary with hair length, density and time required, and current prices appear at booking. Listed prices on the booking site include the Curly Cut and Style at $110 ($130 for new clients), the Express Dry Cut at $55 for existing clients, and the Conditioning Treatment at $70.
