Sphynx Chicago is built around waxing and has two locations in Chicago: one on South State Street and one at a Chicago Suite on West 111th Street. Alongside waxing it offers facials, brow services and lash extensions, and a women's beauty bar listing groups Brazilian and bikini waxing, full body waxing, facials and eyebrow shaping together.

Waxing covers small areas such as a chin or lip for $10 up to full leg and full body appointments. The Brazilian menu is the most detailed: a Sphynx Brazilian done with a strip-less hard wax, a Brazilian and hydrating vajacial, and a brightening vajacial that uses turmeric and lemon. The brightening treatment has timing rules, so it must be booked at least four days after a bikini wax and within two weeks of a Brazilian. Same-day and squeeze-in Brazilian appointments start at $85, and squeeze-ins carry a $25 emergency fee on top of the service cost.

Facials range from a 15-minute mini vajacial with high frequency and a mask, with extractions if needed, to a 60-minute basic facial that includes extractions, professional products and a mini massage for the face and decollete. A hydrating facial is listed at $100 and is also sold as a package of three.

Brows and lashes are a separate part of the menu. Airbrush brows include a brow wax and the business says they can last up to 10 days, or up to four weeks on brow hairs, with proper care; results may vary. Brow wax and tint cleans the brows and adds tint, with the shade discussed with the esthetician. Sphynx Lashes are cluster lashes, with customizable length, design and color, applied with a non-damaging glue; they can last up to two weeks with proper care.

Most services require a deposit of between $10 and $300. Cancellations carry a 50% fee, and clients are asked to let the business know as soon as possible if they need to reschedule. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. The West 111th Street location offers a loyalty card on request, and Brazilian membership benefits apply automatically at checkout when members book as usual.

The business describes its waxing as world class and says its strip-less hard wax causes very minimal pain. Those are its own claims rather than guaranteed outcomes.
