Spavia Minnetonka is an independently owned and operated location of Spavia, a brand with more than 65 locations across more than 25 states. The spa describes itself as locally owned and resort-inspired, and calls its atmosphere tranquil. It is open 9 AM to 8 PM Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM Saturday and 10 AM to 6 PM Sunday. Appointments can be made online, by calling 763.316.1500, or through the Spavia App.

About

First-time visitors are asked to fill in a welcome form ahead of their appointment. Anyone who hasn't completed it should plan to arrive roughly 20 minutes early to do the paperwork and change into a spa robe. A retreat room is open to guests both before and after treatments, and a signature tea is served once the treatment ends. The showers have stone floors. Pagers and mobile phones can't be taken into the retreat space or treatment rooms, and the spa is non-smoking.

The menu covers massage, facials and skin care, body treatments, waxing, lash and brow services, and halotherapy. Facials range from a classic refresh and a men's skin facial to microcurrent, microdermabrasion, oxygen and peel treatments. Spa packages bundle several treatments with refreshments over periods from about two to four hours. Expectant mothers in their second and third trimesters can take a maternity massage in place of the Signature Massage in packages, but Recenter, Renew and Rejuvenate are not offered to expectant mothers. Group bookings called Spalebrations are available for parties of four or more, including bridal parties, birthdays, baby showers and work retreats, and are booked by phone.

Memberships are optional, and a single treatment can be booked without one. The Halo, Essential, Premier and Ultimate tiers are billed monthly, and the spa describes Premier as its most popular. Members receive one treatment a month, member pricing on additional treatments, 50 percent off boosts, and 10 percent off waxing and Spa Boutique purchases. Unused treatments roll over for up to 12 months while a membership is active, and memberships can be paused for up to three months per calendar year. Memberships must be cancelled by phone or email. Gift cards come in any amount, are sent by email, and can be redeemed at any Spavia location.
