Sparkle Brand Braids is owned by Yvonne and operates out of Dope-Ish Braid Studio in Tulsa. The business describes its braids as among the best in Atlanta and Tulsa; that is the business's own claim.
The menu is organized by style and by length, so prices depend on both. Knotless braids run from shoulder to knee length, box braids from jumbo and bob to butt length, and goddess box braids from midback to thigh length. Boho locs, distressed faux locs, invisible locs, soft locs, and passion twists are also offered, along with feed-in and stitch braids for shorter, flatter styles. Appointments run from about 30 minutes for small styles to around 8 hours for the longest knotless installs.
Hair is included in every service. If hair needs washing, the salon offers a wash for $25, but clients are asked to arrive with hair already shampooed and blow dried. Hair should be at least 4 inches long, and clients who are unsure can email or text the salon to check. Custom hair colors are available; clients send a photo by text, email, or Instagram direct message to plan the color.
A $50 deposit secures an appointment through the booking site and is applied to the balance, which is due when the service is finished. The deposit is nonrefundable, and cancellations or reschedules need 24 hours' notice. Payment is accepted in cash, through Square for debit and credit cards, and by Zelle.
Mobile services are offered within a 30-mile radius of the studio for a flat fee of $150 and must be booked 48 hours ahead. Typical wear for knotless, box, lemonade, tribal, and passion twist styles is 4 to 8 weeks with proper care, soft and boho locs last 4 to 12 weeks, and feed-in braids last 1 to 2 weeks. Retouch appointments are available between full installs.
Services are priced by style and length, with hair included and clear rules on preparation, deposits, and timing.
