Spa Esoteric occupies a refurbished Victorian house in historic downtown McKinney. The owner, Monika Norman, runs the spa as a full-service day spa with services for men, women and couples.

The spa describes its focus as wellness, with the aim that each client feels pampered and is never hurried. It states that it has been voted best day spa in McKinney eight times and calls itself award-winning.

The spa states it is an exclusive provider of this treatment. Other offerings include massage, body treatments and skincare, along with hair and nail services.

The spa also offers oncology and prenatal services, and states that it is licensed or certified to provide them. Packaged spa experiences for couples and individuals have been offered around Valentine's Day, pairing massage, body and facial treatments.

The boutique sells house-made RUE 105 candles in 12 oz and 18 oz sizes. A 12 oz candle costs $18, or two for $30, and an 18 oz candle with lid costs $30. Candles are sold in a minimum order of six of the same scent, and scent availability varies. Gift certificates come in $50, $100, $200 and $300 amounts, can be bought online through PayPal, by phone or by email, and can be combined.

The spa says its focus is wellness and that it aims to give every client a pampered visit at an unhurried pace.
