The spa covers about 12,000 square feet and describes itself as one of only ten authentic bathhouses of its kind in the United States. Its main rooms include a Russian banya with 16 tons of heated granite and a Turkish hammam with columns and gentle radiant heat.
Beyond those, the facility has a salt sauna, an infrared sauna, a steam room and a snow room, plus a hydrotherapy area with a swimming pool, heated jacuzzis and a cold plunge. Indoor and outdoor lounges, a VIP room, locker rooms and an outdoor sun deck round out the space.
Admission is priced by day. Monday and Tuesday are $65, Thursday Ladies' Day is $60, Wednesday, Friday and weekends are $70, and children aged 9 to 13 pay $45. A ten-visit pass makes the tenth visit free after nine paid visits. Unlimited memberships run for six months at $2,200 or a calendar year at $3,800. Daily rate specials do not apply on holidays. Hours are 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM Monday through Thursday and Sunday, and 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM Friday and Saturday.
Massage is offered in 30-minute or one-hour sessions in Swedish, therapeutic, deep tissue and hot stone styles. Platza, a traditional treatment using bundles of oak, birch or eucalyptus leaves inside the banya, requires a reservation. The restaurant serves Russian-style dishes such as borsch and Siberian pelmeni, and the juice bar offers fresh juices, herbal teas and seasonal fruit. The facility has no liquor license, but guests may bring their own alcohol for the dining area, though not into the pool area. Outside food and glass are not permitted in the pool area.
Groups of seven or more can reserve a free shuttle within 20 miles, booked at least four hours ahead, for up to 12 people. Children under 12 need an adult in the pool and may not use the cold plunge. Bathing suits are required except in massage rooms, valuables should be left at the front desk, and the pool area has no lifeguard and no diving. Gift cards range from $25 to $180.
The spa is built around traditional Russian and Turkish bathing. Its contrast therapy alternates heat in the banya, sauna or steam room with cold in the plunge or snow room, typically over two to four cycles, and newcomers are advised to ease in rather than push into extreme cold on a first visit.
A large, traditional bathhouse setting with indoor and outdoor lounges and an outdoor sun deck.
