Sola Salons Woodbury is a suite rental location, not a salon with staff of its own. Each of its 36 private studios is rented to an independent professional who runs their own business from the space. The company describes each tenant as the owner of their own boutique salon.

Each suite has a glass door with an individual lock and key, so the tenant has exclusive access to their studio. Suites include a styling chair, a shampoo bowl, full-spectrum lighting, ventilation, sound-insulated walls and instant hot water. The location also has on-site laundry, a breakroom and 24/7 security. Tenants pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi. They set their own service and product prices, keep all of their profits, including profits from products they sell, choose the brands they carry and set their own working hours.

The company says its wider community includes more than 20,000 independent business owners. Each Sola Salon Studios franchise location is independently owned and operated, and each professional or business within a location is independently owned and operated as well.

Tenants work as independent business owners, setting their own prices, product lines and schedules within a shared, fully equipped space.
