Sola Salons Tacoma

Sola Salon Studios rents salon suites to independent professionals. Suites are offered to a wide range of beauty and wellness professionals, including hair, skin, lash and brow, massage, makeup and tattoo artists.

Each location is an independently owned franchise, and each professional or business working in a suite runs its own operation. The company says it is not responsible for the operations, employment or staffing of franchise owners or independent renters. The company describes its mission as providing salon professionals with the best salon rental space in Puyallup; that is the company's own description.

Suites can be leased, and the site has a form for requesting information about renting one. New renters receive a start-up manual with forms, tips and guidance for setting up a business. Support also covers obtaining a salon license and other permits, and setting up the studio, including insurance, equipment and paint. Renters are given tips on credit card processing and help with retail and distributor contacts.

Renters can access liability insurance, and disability insurance is available in certain areas. Members receive discounts on retail products, special offers for online scheduling and access to continuing education programs. The company also hosts industry events and community gatherings for renters, such as cocktail parties and family picnics. The Puyallup location lists Jay Khara as its contact.

Sola works as a rental model: renters run their own independent businesses in private suites, and the company provides the space along with start-up and business support.
