Rather than running a salon with staff, the building rents private suites to professionals who work for themselves. Each suite has a glass door with its own lock and key, and renters receive a key of their own. Suites include full-spectrum lighting, a shampoo bowl, a styling chair, ventilation and bathroom facilities, and the building adds a spacious breakroom and on-site laundry. The company describes its studios as high-end and says renting one costs about the same as renting a chair or booth.
Renters pay a single weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi, and the building provides 24/7 security. Access is available around the clock, though hours differ by location. Renters set their own service and product prices, choose which brands and products they carry, keep all profits from them, and decide their own working hours.
The building treats each suite renter as an independent business owner who controls their own prices, product selection and schedule.
