Sola describes itself as the largest community of independent studio owners and says it has more than 750 locations nationwide and over 20,000 independent business owners. Each location is independently owned and operated.

Every suite has a private glass door with its own lock and key. Renters pay one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi, choose the brands and products they sell, and keep 100% of the profit from those products. Access hours vary by location.

Renters receive a start-up manual with forms and guidance on salon licensing, studio setup, insurance, credit card processing and retail distributors. Liability insurance is available to renters, and disability insurance is offered in certain areas. Sola also runs continuing education programs, industry events and community gatherings for renters.

Free parking, disabled access and Wi-Fi are available at the location. Each renter sets its own hours and services, and individual listings show who offers what. At Studio 128, appointments should be cancelled or moved at least 24 hours ahead, late cancellations are charged 50% of the service fee, and no-shows are charged in full with a deposit required for future bookings.

Rents private, self-run studios to independent professionals, with business support and freedom to choose their own products.

Each suite is enclosed with a private glass door and its own lock and key.
