Sola Salons Tucson East is a suite building where independent beauty professionals rent their own private salon space. Each studio is move-in ready and comes with a styling chair and a shampoo bowl, along with high-end cabinetry, sinks, ergonomic chairs and full-spectrum lighting.
Renters pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi. Each renter gets an individual lock and key for their suite, and the sliding, locking doors give privacy. Walls are sound-insulated and the building has ventilation and 24/7 security.
Shared spaces include a breakroom, on-site laundry, janitorial service, instant hot water and bathroom facilities. Access hours vary by location.
Renters set their own service and product prices and keep all profits from products they sell. The company says renting a suite costs about the same as renting a chair or booth, and says it has more than 20,000 independent business owners in its community.
The building is built around independent professionals running their own businesses from a private suite, with each renter setting their own prices.
