Sola Salon Studios in Tualatin is a building of 30 private salon studios, rented to self-employed beauty professionals rather than run as a traditional salon with its own staff. The location is independently owned and operated, as is each salon business within it.

Studios come in single, large and deluxe double sizes. Each one is move-in ready and comes with shampoo bowls, cabinets, mirrors and chairs, so a renter can start working without fitting out the space first.

The renter pool includes hairstylists, estheticians, barbers, makeup artists, lash techs, nail techs, waxers, massage therapists and tattoo artists. Renters receive a start-up manual covering salon licensing and other permits, studio setup, and tips for setting up credit card processing.

Renters have access to liability and disability insurance (disability coverage is available in certain areas), discounts on retail products, offers for online scheduling, continuing education programs and industry events. The business also hosts community gatherings for renters, such as cocktail parties and family picnics.
