Sola describes its mission as supporting independent beauty professionals, and says it has been working with professionals for more than 20 years. The Veridian is one of four Sola locations in Montgomery County, along with Congressional South, Research Row and Westview Promenade. Each Sola Salon Studios franchise location is independently owned and operated.

Each suite is a private studio with its own door, individual lock and key. Suites include full-spectrum lighting, a shampoo bowl and a styling chair. Access is available 24/7, though hours vary by location, and the location has 24/7 security. Rent is a single weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi.

Tenants set their own service and product prices, choose their own brands and products, and keep all of their service and product profits. They also set their own work hours and have exclusive use of their supplies and equipment. Sola notes that it does not operate the independent professionals in its suites and is not responsible for their employment or personnel matters.

The Veridian sits off East-West Highway and Blair Mill Way in downtown Silver Spring, close to the Metro station. Nearby businesses include Silver Spring Mall, Whole Foods, Giant Food, CVS, Michaels and TJ Maxx. Sola lists service areas including Takoma Park, Chevy Chase, Kensington, Wheaton, Adelphi and Langley Park.

Suites are rented to independent professionals who run their own businesses, set their own prices and hours, and keep what they earn.
