Rather than a salon with staff, it is a building where each suite holds a separate business, so clients book directly with the professional running their studio.
Suite renters pay one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi. Each renter sets their own service and product prices, keeps all profits, sets their own work hours, and receives a key to their suite. Renters also keep exclusive use of their supplies and equipment and can sell products of their choosing, keeping all product profits. Access hours vary by location.
Suites come with a shampoo bowl, a styling chair, full-spectrum lighting, sound-insulated walls, ventilation and instant hot water. Renters can add individual studio locks, and the site notes on-site parking and 24/7 security. The company says it has a community of more than 20,000 independent business owners.
