Each studio has a glass door with its own lock and key, and renters have 24/7 access, though access hours vary by location. Studios are fitted with shampoo bowls, cabinets, hydraulic chairs and shelving, along with full-spectrum lighting, utilities and Wi-Fi. Renters pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi, and 24/7 security is included.

Renters can set up their studio with their own artwork, music, furniture and decor, and they can sell whatever retail products they choose while keeping all profits. Sola also provides liability insurance, disability insurance in certain areas, retail discounts, online scheduling tools and continuing education programs.

Sola organizes community events such as cocktail parties, family picnics and gatherings, and it provides a start-up manual with forms and tips for getting a salon license and other permits. Each location is independently owned and operated by a franchise owner.
