Sola Salons Strip District

Sola Salons is a studio rental business. Each studio is leased to an independent professional who runs their own business, so clients book with that professional rather than with the company. Each location is independently owned and operated, and the business says its network has more than 750 locations nationwide and more than 20,000 independent beauty professionals. It describes its community as the largest of independent studio owners.

Renters receive a start-up manual covering salon licensing and other permits, along with help setting up a studio, including insurance, equipment and paint, and tips on credit card processing. Liability insurance is included, and disability insurance is available in certain areas. Renters also get access to retail support, distributor contacts, retail discounts, special offers for online scheduling, continuing education programs and industry events.

Renters pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi, and the business describes its billing as free of surprise fees. Each renter chooses their own artwork, music, furniture and decor, and can pick the brands and products they sell and keep all of the profits from them. Each studio has a glass door with its own lock and key, and studio access hours vary by location, with renters setting their own schedules.

The business also hosts community gatherings for its renters, including cocktail parties and family picnics. It offers a franchising program for those interested in opening a location.

Independent professionals run their own businesses inside the studios, while the company provides the space, utilities, insurance and business support.

Individually numbered studios with private doors, and Wexford studios are described by the business as elegant, modern, light-filled and well kept.
