Sola Salons Edmond

Sola Salons is a suite rental business for independent beauty and wellness professionals. Instead of working as an employee in a salon, a renter leases a private, fully equipped suite and runs their own business from it. The business says it has partnered with professionals for more than 20 years and has a community of more than 20,000 independent business owners.

Each suite includes a styling chair, a shampoo bowl, utilities, full-spectrum lighting, and a glass door with an individual lock and key. Renters pay one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi, and the suites come with 24/7 security, on-site laundry and instant hot water. Access hours vary by location.

Renters choose the retail brands and products they sell and keep 100% of the profits. They also have access to liability insurance and, in certain areas, disability insurance.

New renters receive a start-up manual with forms and tips for getting a salon license and other licenses and permits. Renters also have access to retail discounts, special offers for online scheduling, continuing education programs and industry events.

The Oklahoma City locations are Northwest OKC, in the May Crossing Shopping Center at 5401 N May Ave., and Quail Springs at 13913 N May Ave. The other locations are in Edmond at 1032 Waterwood Pkwy. and in South Tulsa at 9219 E 71st St. Each location is independently owned and operated.

Sola Salons provides the space, equipment and business support, and each renter runs their own business and sets their own retail offerings.
