It says it has more than 20,000 independent beauty and wellness professionals in its community and has worked with professionals for more than 20 years. The company reports 750+ locations across the U.S. and Canada.

Each Sola Salon Studios location is independently owned and operated, and the company states it is not responsible for the operations, employment or personnel matters of franchise owners or independent professionals. Access hours vary by location, and renters set their own schedules.

The Medina studios are built for working alone. Each has high-end cabinetry, sinks and shampoo bowls, ergonomic chairs and modern lighting, plus a sliding door that locks for privacy. Suites come with a styling chair, a shampoo bowl, 24/7 security, instant hot water, bathroom facilities, janitorial service, on-site laundry, sound-insulated walls, a breakroom and ventilation. Every suite has its own lock and key on a glass door.

Renters pay one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi. Renters choose the brands and products they sell and keep all of the profits from them. New renters receive a start-up manual with a checklist, license and permit forms, studio setup details and retail distributor contacts. Renters also have access to liability insurance, disability insurance in certain areas, retail discounts, special offers for online scheduling and continuing education programs.

Renters operate their own independent businesses in private suites, with their own schedules, brands and profits.
