Sola Salons Orchard Park

Sola Salons rents private salon suites to self-employed beauty professionals rather than running a salon with staff. The East Amherst building sits at the corner of Transit Road, next to Lowe's, and tenants can work in a room they control.

Each suite comes with full-spectrum lighting, a shampoo bowl, a styling chair, instant hot water and bathroom facilities. Walls are sound-insulated and Wi-Fi is included. The building has round-the-clock security, and each suite has its own lock and key behind a glass door.

Tenants pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi. They set their own service and product prices, choose the brands they sell and keep the profits from both. The business says that leasing a suite costs about the same as renting a chair or booth in a traditional salon, according to the business itself.
