Sola Salons

Sola Salons runs salon suite studios for independent professionals, and the Marlton location rents those suites to working practitioners rather than employing them. Each Sola Salon Studios location is independently owned and operated, and Sola states it does not manage the operations, employment or personnel matters of franchise owners or the professionals who rent suites. The company says its purpose is to give beauty, wellness and medical professionals studio space so they can run their own businesses. It also says it has been working with professionals for more than 20 years.

Renters at Marlton include hairstylists, brow and lash specialists, tattoo and permanent makeup artists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, wellness experts and reiki masters, among others. Each suite is a private studio with a glass door that has its own lock and key. Renters may decorate with their own artwork, music, furniture and decor, and suites have 24/7 access, although access hours vary by location. Renters pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi, with no additional charges listed.

Suite amenities include on-site laundry, full-spectrum lighting, 24/7 security, a shampoo bowl, a styling chair, a breakroom, bathroom facilities, janitorial services and instant hot water. Start-up support is available to new renters, including a salon suite start-up manual with checklists, forms and guidance on obtaining a salon license and other permits, plus help with studio setup details such as insurance, equipment and paint. Renters can also get credit card processing tips and retail support, including distributor contacts.

Renters may sell the retail brands they choose and keep all of the profits. Independent studio owners have access to liability insurance and disability insurance, with disability coverage offered in certain areas. Renters also receive retail discounts, special offers for online scheduling, continuing education programs and invitations to industry events. Sola hosts community gatherings such as cocktail parties, family picnics and get-togethers for local Sola communities.

Burlington County has two Sola locations: Marlton at 926 Route 73 and Moorestown at 220 Young Ave.
